Through close integration with the UWHealth enterprise, TSB BioBank is able to provide a broad array of human-derived biospecimens that meet the varying needs of individual investigators, including solid tissue, blood products, and many other body fluids.
Our IRB-approved protocol (2016-0934) has two main routes for acquiring biospecimens, which can be divided into what remains when clinical testing is complete and those that must be obtained specifically for research. Most projects can be completed with the use of clinical remnants, but in some cases acquiring research-dedicated tissue is necessary. Upon developing a complete understanding of both research and clinical needs, an appropriate approach for obtaining a specimen is identified and specific workflows are established to accommodate both clinical workflows and specimen processing requirements. If you have an existing biospecimen need, please contact us.
