Research Interest: Investigating genetic and epigenetic mechanisms of head and brain cancer for the development of liquid biopsy for early detection.
Ryan Denu, MD, PhD – GEM
Department: Medicine – Division of Hematology, Medical Oncology, and Palliative Care
Research Interest: Understanding epigenetic and transcriptional regulation of human sarcomas with the goal of identifying and validating novel therapeutic targets to treat sarcomas, a disease with poor outcomes and inadequate available treatment options.
Tianyuan Lu, PhD – CPC

Research Interest: Developing rigorous statistical genetics and multi-omics methods to identify causal risk factors, circulating biomarkers, and therapeutic targets for complex diseases.
Jordan Slagowski, PhD, DABR – IR
Departments: Radiation Medicine and Medical Physics
Research Interest: Developing novel approaches to integrate advanced imaging for biology guided radiotherapy. This includes work to develop a system to perform small animal intensity modulated radiation therapy that will improve dose conformity and enable dose painting studies (e.g., hypoxia) in a preclinical setting.
