Upcoming “Flow and Tell” Seminar Series

The Flow Cytometry Lab is excited to hold a monthly series of flow cytometry seminars starting this January named, “Flow and Tell”. We will be discussing key insights for better Flow Cytometry experiments and much more! To learn further about our January-March sessions, see the Flow&Tell flyer and descriptions below.

Flow and Tell: Compensation
Join us on January 8 at 1pm in WIMR 3001A to discuss all things compensation. Kathryn Fox will provide an overview of how compensation algorithms correct for spectral overlap, along with tips for making good controls. There will also be time for your questions. Feel free to bring your lunch. The session will also be available on Teams – let us know here if you’d like the meeting invitation: https://forms.gle/aEHVg2fyjQyp512u9
Flow and Tell: Sorting
Join us on February 12 at 1pm in WIMR 7001A to talk about cell sorting. Kathryn Fox will describe how cell sorting works and things you can do to improve the outcome of your sorting experiments. There will also be time for your questions. Feel free to bring your lunch. The session will also be available on Teams – let us know here if you’d like the meeting invitation: https://forms.gle/aEHVg2fyjQyp512u9
Flow and Tell: Unmixing
Join us on March 12 at 1pm in WIMR 7001A to talk about spectral unmixing (for Cytek Aurora and BD FACSDiscover S8 data). Kathryn Fox and Zach Stenerson will describe spectral unmixing, how it differs from compensation, what controls are important, and how to identify unmixing errors. There will also be time for your questions. Feel free to bring your lunch. The session will also be available on Teams – let us know here if you’d like the meeting invitation: https://forms.gle/aEHVg2fyjQyp512u9
