Registration Open! 45th Annual Course in Cytometry, June 18-23, 2022

The University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center Flow Cytometry Laboratory, in partnership with the University of Wisconsin Biotechnology Center, UW Carbone Cancer Center, and Cytometry Educational Associates, Inc., is excited to announce that  registration for the 45th Annual Course in Cytometry is open!

Join us in person from June 18-23, 2022 on the University of Wisconsin – Madison campus for a week of intense and fun filled Cytometry education. With a low instructor to attendee ratio, registrants will have access to instructors and benefit from an intimate learning environment.

The Annual Course in Cytometry is an opportunity for experts and beginners in Cytometry from around the world to increase their knowledge of Cytometry through intimate instruction by recognized leaders in the Cytometry community. With the exception of the 2020 and 2021 pandemic years it has been held every year since 1977. Over the course of six days, approximately 40 instructors and 90 students participate in lectures, including a Keynote Speaker, labs, and networking events. Students have access to over 20 lectures, as well as their choice of 5 of 15 laboratory sessions. We couldn’t do this without the support of our sponsors, who are highlighted in a vendor night each year.

Attendees traditionally come from varied backgrounds including; Core and Shared Resource Lab staff, managers, and directors, Graduate Students, Post-Doctoral Candidates, Scientists, Researchers, and Technicians from both Academia and Industry.

The 45th Annual Course will be hosted by the UWCCC Flow Lab and physically based in the UW Biotechnology Center, a nationally recognized center for biotechnology research housing 6 core labs. In addition to the lectures and labs, we will be hosting a Banquet Dinner at the Vintage Brewery Company in nearby Sauk City, Wisconsin, and offering a trip to the Olbrich Botanical Gardens during the free afternoon on Wednesday, June 22, 2022.

Lecture topics include: Cytometry Basics, Fluorescence in Cytometry, Fluorescent Proteins in Cytometry, Acquisition Basics, Data Analysis Basics, Proliferation Analysis, Intracellular Cytometry, Basic Sorting Strategies, Panel Design and Compensation, Immunology Basics, Multicolor Immunophenotyping, Rigor & Reproducibility in Cytometry, Spectral Cytometry, Single Cell Genomics, Cytometry of Apoptosis, Tracking Cell Trafficking and Function, Image Cytometry, Monitoring Immune Function by Flow Cytometry, Flow Cytometry Instrument Innovations, and Cytometry of Small Particles.
