File: Data-Analysis-OH-Flyer.pngAlex Henkel, from the UWCCC Flow Lab will be leading a three-seminar series focusing on data analysis in flow cytometry. These seminars will provide an interactive overview of data analysis considerations when working with flow data. Discussions will include FCS files, visualizing data, gating, and statistics specific to flow cytometry data sets. Bring your laptops, data sets and questions. Both FlowJo and FCS Express data analysis software platforms will be part of these discussions.

GLIIFCA stands for Great Lakes International Imaging & Flow Cytometry Association. This year’s conference will be held in Cincinnati, Ohio and will be a joint conference between GLIIFCA and ORVCA, the Ohio River Valley Cytometry Association. The staff of the UWCCC Flow Lab attends this conference annually to keep up with the cutting edge instrumentation and techniques that you have come to expect from us. We’ll come back with new and exciting approaches for panel design & optimization, reproducibility and rigor, and data analysis strategies to improve our support of your research. Flow Lab operations will be minimally affected: Thursday, September 27, 2018 will have limited staff availability, and Friday, September 28, 2018 will be open as usual, but unstaffed. Benchtop instruments will undergo start up and QC by staff as usual. Staff will be leaving late morning to catch their flight to GLIIFCA.
Next year’s GLIIFCA will be held September 27-29, 2019, outside Detroit at the Troy Marriott. In 2020 (September 18-20), GLIIFCA comes the Marriott in Middleton!
