New federal Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) digital accessibility rules go into effect on April 24: The university is preparing for the new ADA digital accessibility rule, which requires all digital tools and electronic resources to meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards. A new Digital Accessibility Hub is now available as the central resource for guidance, training and updates. Creating digitally accessible content is everyone’s responsibility.

Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) will host a webinar on April 14 at 1 p.m. CT titled “Employing Civil Discourse to Build Community in the Learning Environment:” This webinar will highlight effective civil discourse practices to build community and foster relationship-centered engagement in the learning environment.

Graduate students invited to Bridge & Build Community lunch: The Graduate School offers an opportunity on April 15 from noon-1 p.m. to connect with other graduate students in a welcoming space for casual conversation, networking and support. During this session at the Red Gym, the Office of Child Care and Family Resources will highlight the many resources for graduate. Lunch will be provided, first come, first served. Wisconsin Partnership Program (WPP) community grant supports seed-to-table initiative to advance health in the Oneida Nation and beyond: Led by the non-profit Ukwakhwa and supported by a WPP community grant, the work is revitalizing Indigenous food practices to promote health and nutrition within the local community.
