Health Equity
Foster understanding of the cancer burden in Wisconsin with a special emphasis on health disparities.

Community
Create long lasting community relationships to promote outreach activities and engage communities across Wisconsin in UWCCC research including clinical trials and community-based participatory research.

Dissemination
To work with and serve our community organizations, affiliated health systems, and regional networks in the dissemination and implementation of evidence-based interventions and health policy recommendations.
Our Programs
WISCONSIN CANCER COLLABORATIVE
UW Carbone is home to the Wisconsin Cancer Collaborative. The Wisconsin Cancer Collaborative is a statewide coalition of approximately 150 organizations working together to reduce the burden of cancer for everyone in Wisconsin. The Collaborative works to develop, implement and promote a statewide approach to cancer control via a State Cancer Plan.
CANCER HEALTH DISPARITIES INITIATIVE
UW Carbone has a long and unique history of community outreach and engagement ranging from the Wisconsin Cancer Council, a statewide approach to cancer control, to faculty and staff conducting engaging research that incorporates the talents and interests of the people of Wisconsin.

WHO WE SERVE AND HOW
At UW Carbone, we serve all 72 counties and communities across Wisconsin. This includes focusing with purposeful intent on those communities with less access to care and resources. We serve the people in our catchment through patient care, the research we conduct, the communities we engage, and the outreach we perform. Our goal is for our efforts to impact all corners of the state of Wisconsin by meeting the needs of each unique community where they are.
