What attracted you the UW Carbone Cancer Center?
The mission and staff. I had a really great experience during my internship and wanted to continue to raise needed funds for cancer research, while growing and learning from my colleagues.
What do you enjoy most or what is the most interesting part of your position?
This past year, I worked with the tournament team at the American Family Insurance Championship to bring Race for Research to their event week. It was an unbelievable experience to work with a generous group that is so passionate about the community and raising money for UW Carbone. We have a wonderful community in Wisconsin that wants to make a difference, and I love being able to engage with them and help them succeed their fundraising goals!

Absolutely! Our team raises money for the important research done at UW Carbone and connects the community with our wonderful researchers.

State Street in the fall before a Badgers football game
What have you read lately and what was it about?
I’ve never been an avid reader, but you can most certainly find me glued to the TV watching a documentary on incarceration, crime or murder. Some are tough to watch, yet extremely fascinating and important. I highly recommend TIME: The Kalief Browder Story, OJ: Made in America and Making a Murder: Part 2.
What is your guilty pleasure?
The Real Housewives! I can’t help but love it.
Who would you like to be for a day?
Beyonce, duh. Not only do I admire her voice, but her creativity and work ethic is unparalleled.
