Breast cancer rates are on the rise and, today one in eight women will develop it in their lifetime. Like Peggy Zimdars, 40% of women have dense breast tissue, making them four to six times more likely to develop breast cancer and making that cancer much more difficult to detect on a standard mammogram alone. For women with high-risk factors, it’s vital to have access to secondary breast screenings, which can more effectively detect breast cancer and save lives.
