Wisconsin Undergraduate Clinical Research Internship
The Wisconsin Undergraduate Clinical Research Internship (WUCRI) is a program developed to cultivate the next generation of cancer discovery scholars and clinicians, with a constellation of perspectives, to reduce health disparities and increase health equity. A primary goal of the program is to support , mentor, and transform undergraduate students into a career in oncology clinical research, with a comprehensive introduction into the breadth and application of clinical trials and cancer patients. Each participant will have a mentor and an experienced preceptor from UWCCC’s clinical research enterprise to help them navigate this program.
This internship training program will recruit and select highly qualified undergraduate students and provide them with a paid training experience in:
Protocol Opening Study Execution Study Coordination Patient Enrollment Study Management
Clinical Research Regulatory Clinical Research Informatics Quality assurance.
What is a Clinical Research?
A type of research study that tests how well new medical approaches work in people.
These studies test new methods of screening, prevention, diagnosis, or treatment of a disease.

Do you meet the REQUIREMENTS for the WUCRI Program?
• Full or part-time student
• Completed one of the following:
36 credit hours Assoc. Degree
Sophomore year at a 4-year college
54 credits of a bachelor’s degree
• Time commitment: 6-15 hours per week – 2/3
days per week.
•Interest in the medical field, clinical research
field and working within a team environment.
• Salary: $19.00 per/hr.
