These presentations, occurring every Wednesday during the academic year, help our UW Carbone Cancer Center members, faculty, staff, and trainees stay up-to-date on the newest procedures and findings in medical research and patient care.
Attendees can obtain Continuing Medical Education (CME) credit. In addition, recorded lectures are available for online CME credit up to one year from the original live presentation date.

Who can attend Grand Rounds?
Grand Rounds is a way for UW Carbone Cancer Center members, faculty, staff, and trainees to stay up to date on the latest developments in clinical practice and cancer related research. Regardless of cancer center affiliation, anyone may attend any Grand Rounds unless otherwise noted.
What is the ICEP Learning portal for?
Sessions in the University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center (UWCCC) CME Application are from live lectures that occurred during the academic year.
The University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center CME Application is an online system that allows learners to:
- Access Grand Rounds lectures available for online Continuing Medical Education (CME) credit
- View your attendance history at live lectures,
- See a summary of credits you’ve earned and identification cards associated with your account (used for scanning into live lectures)
- Submit evaluations of presentations.
Additionally sessions from UWCCC 2019-2020 academic year through 2023-2024 academic year are available for Enduring/Online CME on the Interprofessional Continuing Education Partnership (ICEP) website. These lectures are available for online CME credit up to one year from the date of the original, live lecture presentation. As of the academic start for fall 2024, the Enduring/Online CME credit will no longer be available. For technical help with the ICEP platform, contact help@icep.wisc.edu
Can I attend the live lectures, and what credits are available for attending them?
Yes, live Grand Rounds lectures are open to all who wish to attend. CME, CNE, and CPE credit is available. Maintenance of Certification (MOC) is not available for UWCCC sessions at this time. For specific credit related questions, please see the section titled “Could I view the Accreditation Statement and Credit Designation Statement for this series?”
Lectures occur on Wednesday mornings from 8:00-9:00 AM during the academic year, with exceptions for university holidays and breaks. In-person Grand Rounds occurs in room G5/119 of the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics in Madison, Wisconsin.
