Badger Connect Industry Partners

The BadgerConnect Research Services Fair will return to the Health Sciences Learning Center at UW–Madison this year to highlight life science research services and cutting-edge technologies that make researchers successful. Attendees from across campus network with research services and their industry partners during networking intervals and a reception, roundtable discussions, and an invited research talk. Industry partners will be able to showcase their products and services and show how their technologies are used in research services.

Returning this year, Industry Partners may choose to host Instrument Demonstrations at their booths as an additional add-on.

Mark your calendars for October 1st, 2026 from 12:00 – 4:30pm for a variety of exciting presentations and a networking reception with numerous life science research services – all aimed at showcasing the products and services utilized by research services to advance research across UW–Madison. This year’s event will again be in-person and also include pre-recorded core tutorials released leading up to October 1st.  Please scroll down for more info…

Hosted by UW Carbone, the UW School of Medicine and Public Health, and the UW Biotechnology Center.

The ninth BadgerConnect Research Services Fair will be held October 1st, 2026, from 12:00 – 4:30pm at the University of Wisconsin–Madison Health Sciences Learning Center Atrium in Madison, WI. This unique event is organized by the University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center (UWCCC) and the University of Wisconsin Biotechnology Center (UWBC). The UWCCC is Wisconsin’s only comprehensive cancer center recognized throughout the Midwest and the nation as one of the leading innovators in cancer research, quality patient care, and active community involvement. The UWBC is Wisconsin’s catalyst to advance biotechnology research, education and industry for the benefit of society and the environment. The UWCCC boasts a wide range of research services, as does the UWBC, which are part of a vast network of research services across the UW campus, most of which are available to all UW and external researchers.

Researchers critically depend on the marriage between cutting-edge technology from our industry partners and our exceptional research services to answer their research questions. Research services promote, utilize, and act as intermediary for many products and services our industry partners offer and researchers depend on the expertise and recommendations from research services. BadgerConnect gives industry partners and research services a platform to showcase these supported products and services to potential customers.

BadgerConnect Research Services Fair is advertised across campus and has an averages 150 attendees annually, including students, graduate students, investigators, research staff, and shared resources staff, covering a broad range of science applications. We seek your much-appreciated sponsorship to make this a successful event.

We have allocated generous time for our industry partners and research services to engage with researchers through multiple networking intervals as well as the reception capping the event. Additional information about the fair can be found on the BadgerConnect homepage, which we will be updating regularly as we finalize all of our participating research services and industry partners.

Industry partners will have the chance to network with various researchers across campus, as well as research services, who researchers consult and look to for recommendations on products and services associated with their experimental plan.

This event depends on the generous support of sponsorship. Sponsorship opportunities at the BadgerConnect Research Services Fair yield considerable benefits to both academic labs and industry alike, who both benefit from creating partnerships to use industry technologies to advance research.

Our sponsorship opportunities this year include the following:

Recognition Sponsorship ($100): Industry sponsors will be recognized in the printed program, on the event website, and  onscreen in talk rooms / central monitors at the event.

Booth Sponsorship ($500): Industry sponsors receive all the benefits of Recognition Sponsorship plus one booth at the Research Services Fair. Booths will consist of a 4ft table.

**FULL** Flash Talk Sponsorship Add-On (+$250): Industry sponsors may present a flash talk with a research service as an add-on to the Booth Sponsorship. Flash talks should provide a brief, engaging overview of topics such as instrument best practices, applications of reagents or kits, innovative workflows, or data analysis approaches. Presentations may be technical or more general in nature, but should align with the event’s overall theme: “to showcase services provided by shared resources to UW–Madison researchers.” A limited number of these sponsorship opportunities are available.

Instrument Demonstration Sponsorship Add-on (+$250): Industry partners may choose to host instrument demonstrations at their booth. By choosing this add-on, industry partners will receive a full 8-foot table, instead of a 4-foot table, to accommodate an instrument of choice. Instrument demonstrations will be held during the networking reception, to allow maximal visibility for industry partners.

Special Sponsorship Add-On (+$250): Industry sponsors will sponsor a specific portion of the event (keynote talk and panel, alcohol, appetizers, or registration table VIP) and will receive an additional table next to the sponsored portion of the event for promotional materials and sponsorship signage. Special Sponsorship will be added on to the Booth Sponsorship. Due to only having four special sponsorship opportunities, these are available on a first come – first served basis.

Please note:  We will not be sharing attendees’ contact information with our Industry Partners unless the attendee opted to have their information shared at the time they registered to attend the event.  However, Industry Partners are welcome to collect attendee contact information at their booths.

To participate, please submit an industry sponsorship form by September 26, 2026, via the Industry Partner Form.  If you have any questions, please email us:

We are confident that this event will benefit your company, our research services, and the UW research community. We hope that you will be able to include this in your corporate sponsorships and join us for the BadgerConnect 2026 Research Services Fair at UW–Madison!
